The Langhe

Le Langhe
The Langhe are wonderful hills strewed with woods, tidy rows, flourishing hazelnut’s fields, mediaeval castles that at intervals make way for the rocks; little wooded ashores make framework that close themselves against an higher hill. In every season this framework keeps a charm to which you cannot renounce, an explosion of colours and sceneries that varies form hill to hill.
Torre Bormida is one of the 21 countries members of the Alta Langa; it is more or less at 30 Km at the South side of Alba, at one hour and a half by car from Torino and Cuneo that are the nearest airports and at 40 Km from Savona and from the sea.
It is the ideal destination to plunge into a nature very few alterated by the man’s hand, where it is possible to find again all the atmospheres of the Beppe Fenoglio and Cesare Pavese’s romances, but also to discover a rich artistic and monumental heritage composed by little churches and votive pills.
